Small Bathroom Update! Under $100.

image

I’ve been working on this bathroom since we moved in. It’s primarily my son’s bathroom, but also the guest bathroom. It’s super tiny, so I wanted to add some color in there that would pop out. When we moved in, it had a hideous mirror. It was etched around the edges with a floral design, definitely not something I wanted in my son’s bathroom. Or in general, lol.

I found this gem at Lowe’s for around $30.

image

I also got my shelves at Lowe’s for around $18 a piece. They are 23″ floating shelves. Super easy to install.

image

I mostly got everything else at hobby lobby, on sale of course! That’s just how I roll!

Flowers are a must for me. I have them everywhere. I think they add warmth and color, which are two of my favorite things! These I paid $6.80 for.

image

My son actually picked this out. He’s the happiest little boy you’d ever meet, even nick named smiley on his baseball team, so it was no suprise that he’d like this. 😊😊 This baby cost my a crazy $1.99. I like mixing the silvers and the golds!

image

My son also picked this out. He calls it a dog, I’m pretty sure it’s a horse, but either way it was a bargain at $6.80 as well!

image

Towels I got at Target actually. I believe I spent around $7 for two hand towels, and two face towels.

image

A basket was the first thing I looked for, as I didn’t want guests to have to dig through my cabinets for toilet paper. This was also on sale at hobby lobby for $7.79. It was only 30% off because it’s a “spring item”.  A little more than I wanted to pay, but the color worked!

image

Last but not least, the framed saying I also grabbed at Hobby Lobby for $12.

image

Overall, my bathroom got a nice upgrade for less than $100. I took a very boring, very plain bathroom and added color, depth, and character. I was a little worried that the shelves were gonna make the room look smaller, but it really did the opposite. I absolutely love the way it turned out, and most importantly so does my son!

image

Thankful for weekend projects!!!!

I got my shower curtain prior to moving in, I believe I got it at Kohl’s, for probably less than $20 knowing me. 😊

Fix #2- Stitch Fix box!

image

My 2nd fix arrived! I peeked at this fix, and right off the bat loved the prices! I immediately thought my stylist must have really read my note, I was super exited, especially after my first fix was kind of a bust, as you can read here.

image

I liked my style cards, the items seemed way more my style than the previous fix. My note from my stylist, Denise, was super cut  too. She noted that she looked at my pinterest page, which is great. I really believe she did, too.

image

Prices were also more on point. $142 total is way more my ballpark of what I’m looking to pay.

Market and Spruce, Madrella Slouchy Boyfriend Knit Tank, $38

image

This was the item I was most disappointed about. I originally thought if anything I’d keep this, since it would only cost me an additional $18. But the shirt is huge. Not what I was expecting at all. I could literally keep it as a bathing suit cover up…

image

image

Verdict : Undecided

THML, Brandi Embroidered Skirt, $58

image

This skirt is not at all my style. I’m a little curvy on the bottom for being so short, not to mention I’m not as skinny as I was before becoming a mother, so I don’t find this flattering at all. Skinny tall people can rock these type skirts, that’s just not me.

image

Super unflattering! Verdict : not loving it

Papermoon Pontiac Crossback Knit Tank, $44

image

This shirt I think is super adorable. So my style. Super light weight, breathable, which is good for the Florida weather, plus the detail in the back is cute.

image

Verdict : undecided

Skies Are Blue, Olana Crochet Detail Top,  $48

image

This shirt I really love as well, it fits really well, tight enough on top and bottom but still loose enough to not be skin tight. I love the back. This is probably my favorite item in my fix.

image

Verdict : undecided, only because of price

Romolo, Willa Bar Drop Earrings, $28

image

I hate these earrings. Again, I feel like they are so cheap. You can honestly get better quality jewelry from Walmart than the items I’ve received so far.

Verdict: hate them.

Overall, I think my fix is a 2/5. Love the Papermoon and Skies are Blue tops. But considering to keep these two items I’d be spending an additional $72.00, I just can’t do it. I think that’s insane, personally. Neither one of these are super great quality in my opinion. I’m weighing the option of keeping everything, and seeing if I can’t sell a few items, or returning everything.

I’m really not sure if stitch fix is for me. The fixes as a whole are affordable, but items singularly are not. What’s the chance I stumble upon a 5/5 fix???

My stylist did do a great job this time though, that is one thing I can’t complain about!

Verdict: super undecided on what to do!!!

Fix #1 Update – Stitch Fix Keeper!

Hey ya’ll, as you read in my previous blog, you can check out here, I wasn’t too happy with my first fix. Originally I scored it a 0/5 and seriously debated on just letting them keep my $20 styling fee.

But…. I came to my senses and…

I decided on keeping the Bay to Baubles, Nordic Stone and Feather Necklace $28! I thought why lose my styling fee when I could just spend another $8 and keep the necklace. I thought maybe I would just gift it…. Then I tried it on tonight with my outfit….

image

… I must say I kinda like it! Maybe if I just stick to wearing it with a black shirt, I will learn to love it!

What do you think???

Happy Friday!

Bedroom Makeover Complete! Budget Friendly nightstand decor at $80!! #bedroomupdate

Bedroom Nightstand Decor
Night stand decor, gray and white theme

Being the impatient person that I am, I started immediately shopping for how to decorate my night stands after finally hanging my bargain mirrors last weekend, which I wrote about earlier in my blog!!! I am super excited how they turned out! I am always shopping for good deals, and was able to match my style and my color scheme at an affordable price. #doublepoints

image

I found the lamps at my local Ross store for a steal. It is a 24 inch table lamp, silver and crystal  base with a gray shade. How perfect is this? Even better it was only $24.99!

image

Books and flowers are some of my favorite things so I knew I wanted to incorporate them somehow, without breaking the bank or my color scheme. The flower set I found at TJ Maxx for only $6.99! The book boxes are from Hobby Lobby, both discounted 50%, were $7.99 and $9.99. I absolutely had to have the love one when I saw it, being my bedroom, I love to express all things love!

image

I’m obsessed with my finished project, I hope you love it too. Spending just under $80 for a mirror, lamp, book boxes and flowers I feel like I most certainly didn’t break the bank! I feel accomplished and the need to have an adult, decorated bedroom fulfilled!!

Happy Saturday folks, I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!!!!

Coffee girl addicted to Spark!!!! Team AdvoCare! #energyjunkie

image

Every morning, I wake up and drink a Spark. Watermelon  happens to be my flavor of choice, because it is so yum!!!!! I used to be a coffee girl (I still am as a treat), stopping at dunkin donuts every morning spending $2-$4, depending on what I was feelin. Because I am an AdvoCare distributor, I do get a 20% discount on anything I order, but without the discount spark is only $1.23 a serving (canister = $51.95/42 servings). So even before I became a distributor, I was saving money. Not to mention the health benefits I receive, I’ll get into that in a few.

My boyfriend started the AdvoCare journey way before I was into it. I had tried spark a few times and didn’t see what he was so crazy about. Then, I started drinking one before I came to work. I began to notice that instead of giving me a buzz type jolt where I just wanted to talk to my Co workers, it gave me a mental focus, I would come in ready to work, to be on task. I also wasn’t crashing, wanting another coffee at 10 am.

Spark is packed with vitamins that I am happy to get first thing in the morning. Because I use quite a few of their products, I have stopped using multi vitamins all together. Here is a fact sheet on the ingredients / benefits of consuming Spark:

image

So not only am I saving money, but I’ve also cut quite a few calories, as well a sugar, completely out of my daily diet. I feel great!!!!!! I don’t go a day with my spark guys!!!!

If your interested in trying spark out, you can buy a box of single serve, they are a little more money a serving ($1.63), but there are only 14 servings so you don’t feel so committed. They can be purchased here. There are plenty of fun flavors,  Fruit Punch, Grape, Pink Lemonade, Mandarin Orange, Green Apple (another one of my favorites), Mango Strawberry, Cherry! My only advice would be to play with the amount of water to mix with it, I had to find my right balance for my taste buds, I use somewhere between 12-14 ounces depending on the flavor, where as the box suggest 8.

If your interested in any other AdvoCare products, please visit my site and feel free to ask me questions, I would love to answer any!!!!!!

I wish everyone a wonderful Monday!

Bedroom Makeover in the works! Budget Friendly Mirrors! #bedroomupdate

We moved into a new house last September, all I really wanted was to give my bedroom a makeover. It used to be  my least favorite room in the house,  everything was modge podge, used, thrown together… Now it’s becoming my favorite, and I love it! I decided on a gray and white theme, I just love how clean,  yet soft it looks. I had been searching for mirrors for above my nightstand for months, but being the bargain shopper I am, I had no intentions of spending over $50 a mirror and that’s all I was finding. Then I randomly walk into a Kirklands one day, and find these beauties for $29.99 each. That’s way more my price style! They can be purchased here. I had never shopped at a kirklands before, but I must say there are some pretty reasonable items in there!

We finally got around to hanging them today and I am in love!!! Now I can start decorating my night stands. What should I put here guys? Stay tuned for updates!!
